This Privacy Policy explains what personal information dimitriskiriakos.com collects, why it is used, which service providers help us run the website, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to Dimitris Kiriakos, the artist this website belongs to.

Information you send us through the contact form

When you use the contact form we receive your name, last name (if you provide it), your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include in it. We use this information to read and respond to your enquiry and to continue the conversation with you.

Your message travels like this: your browser completes a Cloudflare Turnstile security check, the form is sent to our website’s server function hosted by Cloudflare, and the message is then delivered by Resend, an email delivery service, to our own inbox at [email protected]. Resend is only used to deliver the message to us; it is not your email provider.

If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address and your confirmation that you agree to receive the newsletter. The newsletter form is set up to pass your sign-up, after the same Turnstile security check, to Mailchimp, a newsletter service, once that service is active for this website. Mailchimp may also record technical details of the sign-up, such as the IP address and time, as a record of your consent.

Sign-up uses double opt-in: you are only added as a subscriber after you click the link in the confirmation email. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to unsubscribe you at any time by email.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-M1NLRMWFLN) to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed. Analytics is controlled through the website’s consent system, using Google Consent Mode:

By default, Analytics storage is denied, and all advertising-related consent settings are denied and remain so.
Analytics cookies are only used if you grant Analytics consent.
While Analytics consent is denied, Google Analytics may still receive limited, cookieless signals, such as that a page was loaded, without Analytics cookies being stored on your device.

Hosting and security

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and protected by Cloudflare’s security services. To deliver pages and protect the website, Cloudflare processes technical information about requests, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

The contact and newsletter forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real visitors from automated abuse. To do this, Turnstile processes information about your browser and its interaction with the check, and it may use browser storage that is necessary for the check to work.

Why we use your information

Depending on how you use the website, we use personal information to:

respond to your messages and requests;
send you newsletter emails, where you have agreed to receive them;
operate the website and keep it secure, including protecting the forms against spam;
understand how the website is used, where you have allowed Analytics;
comply with legal obligations, where this is necessary.

Where we rely on your consent, such as for the newsletter or Analytics, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it.

How long information is kept

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, taking into account any legal, administrative or security requirements.

Contact messages are kept in our email for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up conversation.
Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe, or until it is otherwise removed according to the newsletter provider’s processes.
Your cookie choice is stored in your browser for about 12 months, after which you are asked again.

Service providers

We use the following providers to run the website. They may process information as part of the services they provide, according to their own services and privacy practices:

Cloudflare: website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), security, the form server functions and Turnstile.
Google: Google Analytics 4, used as described above.
Resend: delivery of contact form messages to our inbox.
Mailchimp: newsletter sign-ups and emails, once the newsletter integration is active.

We do not sell your personal information.

International processing

These providers operate infrastructure in several countries. Depending on the provider and its arrangements, your information may therefore be processed outside your own country.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to:

access the information we hold about you;
have it corrected;
have it deleted;
restrict or object to how it is used;
withdraw your consent, where we rely on consent.

Not every right applies in every situation. You can withdraw Analytics consent at any time through Cookie Settings, and newsletter consent through the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
