Cookie Policy
This page explains how dimitriskiriakos.com uses cookies and similar browser storage, and how you can choose which optional storage is allowed.
For how personal information is handled more generally, for example when you use the contact or newsletter forms, please see our Privacy Policy.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject optional Analytics, or open Cookie Settings to choose. Until you make a choice, Analytics stays switched off. You can change your mind at any time:
The same Cookie Settings link is also at the bottom of every page.
Essential storage (always active)
Essential storage is needed for the website to work and to keep it secure, so it cannot be switched off:
- Your cookie choice. We remember your decision in your browser’s local storage under the name
dk_cookie_consent. It contains only your Analytics choice, a version number and the date of the choice. No personal information is stored. It is kept for up to 12 months, after which we ask again. - Security check on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile). The contact and newsletter forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real visitors from automated spam. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary storage for this check. It is only used to protect the forms.
Analytics storage (optional)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-M1NLRMWFLN) to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed and how people arrive here. This helps us improve the website. We do not use Analytics for advertising, and advertising features are kept switched off.
If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_M1NLRMWFLN on this website. If you reject Analytics, or withdraw your consent later, these cookies are not set and any existing ones from this website are removed.
How optional Analytics is controlled
The website uses Google Consent Mode. Before you choose, every Google consent setting starts as “denied”. Accepting Analytics changes only the Analytics setting to “granted”; the advertising-related settings (advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation) always remain denied.
When Analytics is denied, Google Analytics does not store or read Analytics cookies on your device. Google may still receive limited, cookieless information such as the fact that a page was loaded, as described in Google’s Consent Mode documentation.
Other ways to control cookies
You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may stop parts of the website, such as the forms, from working.
